Great song, great Siouxsie, shame the video is a cheap rip off from a scene from “Cremaster 1″ from Matthew Barney. The scene where the model holds the helicopters is an example of playing copycat. How often popvideos steal from modern video art is almost uncountable. Marilyn Manson does those tricks as well. “The Dope Show”" stole a lot from Rebecca Horn’s work.
@betweenlakes LIke Busby Berkeley meets Leni Riefenstahl. One of the most intriguingly sinister videos from Basement Jaxx, who make some pretty mind-melting videos. I can’t help but think that future video archaeologists will hold this up as an example of the age of war porn. Great track as well – I haven’t heard this for time. Siouxsie Sioux should be held up as a living national treasure.
